Dutch Harbor

A good day to fly into Dutch Harbor, we arrived on the first try. We made it before the ship and bumped around the island for half a day looking for wild horses and famous crabbers. In the hills, we found WWII ruins. Living at the Grand Aleutian tonight, in case anyone’s in the area and wants to go for a walk in the rain. The ship should arrive tomorrow, delayed by weather. Word from aboard says I’m lucky to have flown, and not cruised down the chain the old-fashioned way. “The seas are a little lumpy.”
